Hi, I’m Cherie — the heart and hands behind Reimagined Images.
I’m a photomedia artist and creative facilitator based in Greater Port Macquarie on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. Photography has been part of my life since the late 1980s, and over the years it has grown from a profession into a deeply personal creative language.
Decades behind the lens have taught me that the real depth of photography isn’t just in capturing what we see — it’s in learning how to truly notice it.
These days my work sits at the intersection of photography, mixed media art, and mindful creativity.
Through layered photomedia artworks, abstract compositions, handmade textures, and local landscapes, I explore ways of seeing the world differently. Sometimes that looks like quiet moments of light across water. Other times it becomes bold, expressive collage or digital assemblage built from many visual fragments coming together.
But Reimagined Images isn’t only about the finished artwork.
It’s also about the experience of creating.
In a world that often feels fast and demanding, I believe creativity can be a gentle way back to ourselves. That belief has shaped the workshops and creative experiences I now offer — calm, welcoming sessions designed for curious minds, busy people, and anyone craving a little breathing space through making.
Inside my workshops and creative sessions you’ll find things like:
• Collage and photomedia art
• Paper play and junk journaling
• Creative kits and curated materials
• Guided creative experiences designed to slow the mind and engage the hands
You don’t need to be “artistic” to join in — just open to exploring and enjoying the process.
Alongside these creative experiences, you’ll also find a collection of art prints and photomedia works available through the print shop. From contemporary abstract pieces to the natural beauty of the Mid North Coast, these works are created to bring visual interest, texture, and story into the spaces we live in.
Photography itself still remains an important part of my work. After more than three decades working professionally in the field, I now take on a small number of photography commissions each year, focusing on projects where I can work with intention and care. These may include select events or visual storytelling for small businesses and creatives who value thoughtful, authentic imagery.
It’s a quieter, more considered approach — one that allows me to give each project the attention it deserves.
At its heart, Reimagined Images is about creative living — noticing more, making more, and allowing creativity to be part of everyday life.
If you’re here to explore the artwork, join a workshop, commission photography, or simply wander through the pages for a moment of inspiration, I’m really glad you found your way here.

“Photography is an art of observation… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
— Elliott Erwitt
Reimagined Images would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the Birpai lands on which we work and live. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
We would like to recognize
the connection to lands and waterways to which we call home.
