Vadure – A Dance of Light and Foliage Vadure is an exploration of nature’s energy through movement, color, and light.
Created while on a residency in a forest home hidden in a quiet corner of Port Macquarie. I embraced the energy and colour of the surrounding environment, often washing myself in the movement and flow that nature created around me.
Inspired by the fluidity of kinetic photography and the ethereal brushstrokes of impressionism, each in-camera abstract captures the essence of being immersed in green spaces. With intentional motion, both mental and physical.
With these works I attempt to dissolve the boundary between observer and environment, creating a visceral connection to the pulse of the natural world. The play of light filtering through leaves, the whisper of wind through grass, and the shifting hues of a forest’s heart are all distilled into flowing, energetic, dreamlike compositions— they are an invitation to lose oneself in nature’s rhythm.
Being an intuitive creator and an energy aware kind of person, creating art like this can be a whole body, immersive experience and feeling for me and I hope that when they are viewed they share a little of the energy that was being felt from the subjects, places and spaces at the time
