A Calm-by-Design Junk Journal Session
This is the natural next step after Junk Journal Building & Binding — the session where your journal begins to feel lived in.
Junk Journal: Page Play is a guided, hands-on creative experience focused on filling your pages with thoughtful layers, texture, imagery, and personal detail.
Working from a curated selection of papers, words, vintage elements and tactile pieces from our much-loved fodder bar, you’ll gently build depth and character into your journal — without pressure, perfection, or overwhelm.
This is not about being “artistic.”
It’s about slowing your nervous system through making.
Designed for capable, always-doing adults who want intentional creative downtime, this session offers space to sit, layer, reflect, and create in a calm and welcoming environment.
If you’ve previously attended Junk Journal Building & Binding, bring your journal along. If not, a simple handmade journal will be provided so you can step straight into the experience.
Whether you’re local to Port Macquarie or visiting the Mid North Coast, you’re warmly welcome here.
What’s Included
• Access to our curated fodder bar (papers, ephemera, words & decorative elements)
• Gentle, step-by-step guidance for layering and page composition
• A basic journal provided (if you don’t already have one)
• Tea/coffee and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere
• Bonus digital downloads and future perks via Club CoCreate
Tickets are non-refundable. If something unexpected comes up, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or receive a credit for a future session.
This workshop is designed with adults in mind. While there’s no strict age limit, the atmosphere is relaxed and conversational.
