The Undaunted series sprang to life for a whimsical rendezvous between yours truly, the imaginative mind behind "Reimagined Images," Cherie Morton, and the fabulous Port Macquarie artist extraordinaire, Yvonne Kiely. Picture this: two artists, separate studios, one roof, and the occasional impromptu dance party fueled by mystical Celtic tunes, all culminating in a spectacular exhibition at Sunset Gallery on Central Rd, Port Macquarie, along the picturesque Mid North Coast of Australia.
Now, let me spill the creative beans on the making of these artworks—it's a wild ride! I kick things off with an in camera abstract as my canvas, and then I unleash a riot of textures, images, and elements, layering them with the finesse of a master pastry chef. Each layer dances seamlessly with the previous and the next, and I make adjustments with an undaunted mix of intuition and instinctive flair. It's like painting with the cosmos and a dash of funky rhythm—because why not?
