Pretty In Pink 5 is one of the quieter works in my Reclaimed Bloom – Pretty In Pink series. I was drawn to this rose because it had already begun its journey beyond full bloom, yet I couldn't look away from its beauty.

Creating this piece became a reflection on how joy and femininity don't disappear with time. They simply become layered with experience. The soft pink palette celebrates that playful, light-hearted part of ourselves, while the weathered rose reminds me that beauty doesn't have an expiry date.

Created from my own photography and layered with handmade textures and prints developed specifically for this series, this artwork blends photography and mixed media into a gentle, contemporary expression of resilience, softness and grace.
